I read books, I write books, I dream books and I simply love books.

I am a new romance writer from Scandinavia and a viking descendant. I learned about vikings from the age of 6 and know my fair share of viking history. It´s utterly fascinating!

Why do I write?

I started reading books when I was 10 years old and it opened up a whole new world to me. Being raised in a home where books were rarely opened, this was like a discovery tour. I read everything I could get my hands on from Astrid Lindgren and Mette Newth, to Vladimir Nabokov and Leo Tolstoj. Even Shakespear was devoured. (Yes, I read many Shakespeare books at the age of 12 without my teacher telling me to do so.) At the age of 15 I discovered Margit Sandemo and Kathleen E. Woodiwiss, and historical romance became a part of my youth. Reading until 3am and getting up at 7am to attend school, I would say I was addicted to books.

I started rewriting the stories I read. Changed the endings to what I preferred. I created my own universe and mixed stories from different books. I have a big collection of short stories, screenplays and poems in my work table. They are hidden treasures that I will share with you.

What do I read?

I read a lot of books. I love several genres: literature, poetry, fantasy, crime, romance, short stories and nonfiction. The last book I read was “Me before you” by Jojo Moyes and the story stayed with me for many days.

My favorite romance book?

Hard to name only one, so I will list some of the ones I have read more than three times:

“Damask rose” by Haywood Smith (a real treasure)

“Ruthless” by Ann Stuart

“Sins of a wicked duke” by Sophie Jordan

“Seven secrets of seduction” by Anne Mallory

“Secrets of scandalous bride” by Sophia Nash

Love, Silvia.
